TEA DANCE

Unfortunately, the Hartland Carnival Tea Dance that was due to take place today, Friday 11th August has been cancelled due to the lack of tickets sales.

Judging - 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm
Grand Carnival Procession – 7.00 pm to 8.30 pm for all classes

The Entertainment

Party in the Square:

Fairground Rides, Phil Vanstone Fairground,  Little Red Bus Photo Booth &AirPlayUK from 4.30pm and more.
Food Stalls from 7.00pm – Midnight
Entertainment from 4.30pm till Midnight

Hartland Town Band, Samba Bands Music from Over & Above plus other performers

Saturday 13th August – Hartland Carnival

Hartland Carnival – “The Special One”.

Hartland Carnival is a very special event for the whole community of Hartland, as well as for many of our regular visitors from far and wide.  Alongside the committee, it seems that most of our residents either take part, or help in some way to organise the events or carry out one of the many jobs that need doing to put on an event such as this, and of course all the funds raised are put back into the community via our organising groups.

Hartland plays host to a full week of events to suit every taste, beginning with the Crowning of our Queen and the Band Concert on Sunday 7th August 2016. The Grand Procession on Saturday 13th August which leads off at 7.00pm, is the last of a number of events that take place in our annual week of festivities, which include the Family Fun Night held on Wednesday 9th August on the Recreation Ground with food, games, displays and more. For anyone attending the Carnival on Saturday 13th August, we provide free car parking at either end of the town. Floats begin to assemble from 5.00pm and are judged between 6.00pm and 7.00pm, after which they will make two circuits of the village.

As a part of our centenary year celebrations in 2014 we included entertainment outside in the square, which was such a success we decided to provide this as part of the annual event. So accordingly, this year outside in the Square, there will be a fairground rides, food and stalls, with free entertainment and displays from 5.00pm to 11.00pm including Hartland Town Band, Majorettes, Samba Bands, Street Style Dancing and Power Stilts Display live bands, street entertainers.

Our event could not take place without the support of our wonderful Sponsors, who continue to support us year after year.

We in Hartland are very proud of our Carnival, the standard of our entries, and the general feel good factor that it brings to us all.  It is second to none!

Oh What a Night!

The sun shone all day and people turned up in there droves to be amazed by a total of 19 Floats and loads of brightly coloured walking entries. As ever the standard was high, for results click this link, special thanks to Bob Seymour (Shoreline Photography) for taking photos, these have now been uploaded, click the link to the RHS at the top of this page. Thanks to all those who helped out with carnival including all the entrants and the many unsung hero’s behind the scenes! It was a great atmosphere this year and the celebrations went well into the evening, time now for a well earned rest as there are only 12 months till the next one.
